Hiya friends and happy February! My first card for Paper Rose this month is one of my favourites… a shaker card! I love this mix from PR and so I’ve used it as the focal point against some black and white paper… read on to see how I created this fun shaker card.
To create this card I grabbed a piece of Smooth White Cardstock and cut it using the largest of my Stitched Rectangle Nesting Dies and set aside. I grabbed the gorgeous leafy black and white printed paper form the Artsy Print 6×6 Paper Collection and made a frame with my 2nd and 4th largest rectangle dies using some Mint tape and die cut those.
I lined up where I wanted my printed paper to sit on my white background panel and glued the inner piece to the white cardstock. I flipped the border piece over, attached a piece of acetate and added my thin foam tape around the back to create my frame.
I added a good amount of the Sending Love shaker mix on top of the printed paper and set my frame down over the top.
I die cut the Sending Love and Hugs sentiment die from black glitter cardstock and the white background from Smooth White Cardstock and glued it together and then onto the card base. To finish, I glued on a couple of the shaker mix pieces to the top left and bottom right corners of the card.
Thanks for visiting, and I’ll see you again soon! – Kelly 🙂
