Hiya friends, Happy Tuesday! Today I’m sharing a quick and easy U-fold card featuring some of my favourite die cuts, so let’s get started!
If you’ve been visiting me for awhile you’ll know I enjoy making this style of card as it’s quick, easy and by using the embossed die cuts as my feature images it’s even quicker now!
Here’s how to create a U-Fold card:
- Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 4.25” x 8” and scored it at 1.25”, 2.5”, 5.5” and 6.75”.
- Mountain fold the two outer score lines and valley folded the inner 2 score lines to create the “u” shape.
- Cut 4 strips of patterned paper measuring 1” x 4” and 1 rectangle measuring 2.75” x 4” and glue those in place.
- For the bridge, cut a piece of cardstock measuring 5.5” x 1” and a patterned piece measuring 5.25” x .75”, glued those together then glue it on to the card base’s outer flaps only.
- Cut a piece of White Smooth cardstock measuring 2.75” x 4” and glued it to the back.
For today’s card I’ve used a gorgeous burgundy cardstock and the black and white checked paper from the Artsy Print 6 x 6 Paper Collection. Once I assembled my card base I added images from the Mediterranean Summer Die Cuts pack including the birthday sentiment to finish off my card.
I just love how the images pop off the patterned paper! See you back here in a week for another Paper Rose post, Kelly 🙂
