Hello friends! My last post for Paper Rose this month shows how you can make dies sparkle and shine using shimmer cardstock so let’s get into it!
Paper Rose Products used: Delilah Flower Builder Dies, Dakota Flower Builder Dies, Happy Birthday Layered Die, Top Fold A6 Card Bases, Smooth White Cardstock, Blooming Blossoms Shimmer Cardstock, Liquid Glue
Other products used: water spritzer, gold embossing powder, heat tool, black cardstock.
Technique:
- Cut a panel of the Smooth White Cardstock to be the same size as your card base. Lightly flick water droplets onto the panel then sprinkle over your embossing powder and heat set. Set the panel aside to cool.
- Using both the Delilah and Dakota Die Sets, cut your flowers from the Blooming Blossoms Shimmer Cardstock pack. I also used Whisper White to cut the stamens. Glue all the pieces together.
- Die cut your sentiment from the black cardstock.
- Take your top fold card base and on one half fold the card in on itself to create a mountain fold. Glue your embossed panel to the bottom half of the “mountain”. Lay the card flat and glue down your die cut flowers and sentiment.
- Cut 3 x 1.25cm (1in) strips of Smooth White Cardstock and glue those down approximately half way down on the inside of your card, then add the thin black cardstock piece on top of that. Add a flower die cut to the bottom left of the inside of the card.
