Flowerpot Bridge Card - Kelly Bates

Flowerpot Bridge Card - Kelly Bates

Tania Ridgwell |

Hello friends, I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m sharing a fun 3D card called a Bridge (or U-Fold) card and letting the stamped image be the star of the show, so let’s get into it!
Other products used: Heavy Pink Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Patterned Paper, Paper Trimmer, Paper Scorer, Karin Brushmaker PRO in Red, Gold, Magenta, Orange Red, Grass and Ocean Teal, water brush, fussy cutting scissors, heavy weight watercolour paper.
Technique:
  • Stamp each image once onto the watercolour cardstock and set aside to dry fully.
  • Cut pink cardstock into the following sizes: one piece 8in x 4.25in, one piece 6in x 1in (you’ll trim it down later).
  • Score the larger pink panel at 1.25in, 2.5in, 5.5in and 6.75in on the long side. Valley fold the inner pieces and mountain fold the outer pieces.
  • Cut patterned paper into the following: four pieces 4in x 1in, one piece 4in x 2.75in,  panel into the centre of the card.
  • Take the 6in x 1in piece and line it up approx. .5in from the bottom along the right edge of your flattened out card and ONLY glue down up to the first fold line. Fold down your two panels to the right of the card, glue down the left side of the flap onto the last panel. Trim off your excess. Attach your .75in strip of patterned paper to the cardstock strip – trim down end if needed)
  • Cut a panel of the smooth white cardstock down to 4in x 2.75in and glue to the back panel.
  • Colour in your images, allow to dry and then fussy cut them both out.
  • Die cut your happy birthday die cut sentiment and attach. Glue fussy cut pots into place and finish with a few small crystals.
