Hello crafty friends. I’m still making Christmas cards! I have a soft slimline card to share with you today, that is one of my favourites that I’ve made each year. I really love soft sparkly cards, even though I find them really hard to photograph.
This card has two panels cut using the Stitched Slimline Rectangles die from Paper Rose Studio. The panel cut from gold shimmer card is slightly bigger than the Neenah Solar White cardstock panel. The white panel was then spattered with gold shimmer. I made my own shimmer by mixing Altenew inks in Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee with Paper Rose’s Liquid Sparkle and spattering it all over the base, as well as spattering some Abandoned Coral ink and Liquid Sparkle mix too.
The Christmas baubles were cut using the Christmas Baubles Background die from Paper Rose, and Ink blending over them with Abandoned Coral ink and Tumbled Glass Ink. The little bitty tops are cut from gold shimmer card to match the background. I laid them out on the spattered panel and pencilled an x where I wanted each string to end, then using a gold pen, I drew in the strings, using a ruler which I cleaned after each line was drawn.
The sentiment comes (Once again!) from the Crisp Christmas Sentiments, and I layered this one up on more gold shimmer card. That completed the card!
Until next time, stay safe, and may your days be crafty!
Blessings
Donna
