Hello friends and happy October! I hope you’re all well and hanging in there with all the covid things going on around the country/world as of late. Today I’m sharing how simple it can be to create your own patterned paper using stamps so let’s get into it
Other products used: A4 sheet of 250gsm white cardstock, Versamark Ink, Powder Bag, Heat Tool, White and Clear Embossing powders, Stamping Platform, Die Cutting Machine, -Simon Hurley Grrr! Ink, foam tape.
Technique: I stamped all the shell images onto the A4 sheet of paper using the Paper Rose Pool ink cube and a brown ink using acrylic blocks randomly to create my own background patterned paper. I then used the second largest stitched rectangle die to cut a panel from it. Using a stamping platform, I stamped the “The Coorong” Shell stamp in pool ink, then restamped it in Versamark before heat setting with clear embossing powder and set aside to cool. I cut a small strip of cardstock and used my brown ink pad direct to paper to colour it, before heat setting it. I then heat embossed my sentiment in white powder. To assemble I foam mounted my sentiment strip, fussy cut around the blue embossed shell and attached it to the left hand side. I then mounted my panel to a card base.
