Hello crafty friends. It’s Donna here, and I’m happy to report that I have been at home all week for the first time since late November. That means crafty time, time in the garden, and a video! Also, have a look in the photos. As well as the cards, some of them feature butter pat makers that come from my husband’s family. They’re so beautiful, and they help my camera adjust to having such pastel cards in the photos!
Today’s cards are soft and elegant with just a touch of gold. I hope that you enjoy both the cards and the video.
I used lots and lots of water for today’s cards, so I chose a thicker watercolour paper that was up to the task. I added water, paint, water, paint, water until I was happy with the colours, then spattered the panels with white and Payne’s Grey paint, then clean water. Once they were dry, I ran them through my (well, my generous friend Deb’s, to be more honest) die cutting machine with 3D embossing folders. The embossing folders I used today were Sweet Vines for the blue card, and Tulips for the pink.
The sentiments come from a pack called Celebrate Embossed Cut apart sheets. I think you can hear me chuckle as I say that in the video. It took several goes to get all the words out in a row. These sentiments are both foiled and embossed, so they’re both shiny and raised. I tried to get a good picture below.
As well as the sentiments, I added a few more touches of gold, with some butterflies and leaves cut from gold glitter paper. These cards came together really fast once I’d given the paper time to dry. I hope that you can see all the texture from the photo angles.
Until next time, may your days be full of beauty.
Blessings,
Donna
